Good angles and lighting to minimize the impact of the solar panels.

I'm not digging the solar panels at all. It seems like a little bit of silly virtue signalling. Surely more power could be generated by dedicating more of the roof to solar power. I think they have done enough practical design for efficiency that they didn't have to bake it into the facade.

From their construction update.
In December, work on the exterior of the building continued to move along with the final installation of all the windows. Crews also continue to install various elements of the exterior walls, like stonework and insulation, to better insulate the building.

On the inside, all the internal components started coming together, with electrical, mechanical and plumbing work continuing across all floors. The team was also busy starting the installation of a glass wall on the fourth floor that we can’t wait to share with you.

This thing makes a huge impact on the landscape coming over the Portage Bridge. Such a great high visibility location. I do wonder if that was on Watson and the City's mind at the time. If it was, they failed at explaining the vision.
