I totally agree. It will be perfectly fine neutral filler once it's in the background, but right now it's just far too prominent and slablike.

Someone on Discord (I think) mentioned some movement in the area, but unclear if it has anything to do with the start of the second tower. It's unlike Claridge to build one tower at a time, let along take a break between towers of the same project.

It's more of a transit oriented Discord server, but there is a fair amount of discussion on Ottawa and Gatineau (and sometimes other cities) developments. It's the Rail Fans Canada Discord server. I'll send you an invite.
 
Lots of corten steel details on the podium and tower for this one. Nice to have a pop of colour (once it fully rusts) without it looking tacky.

^Great images! I’m guessing that this building will double the population here and Zibi. Hopefully enough to attract a café.
