Ottawa's Skyline

An incredible amount of change in a very short amount of time in this frame!

Like I said a few years ago, Hull is the exciting neighbourhood of the region. I really can't wait for the next census showing how much Hull has grown (specifically the island) and how much of an impact it has on regional culture. I just really hope the tramway gets built and we could see similar levels of TOD in Gat (proportional to it's population)

I'm surprised how tall and imposing the Sommerset project (with jagged balconies) looks when driving eastbound on 417 around Island Park. It's directly in front and looks much closer than it is.

Same from Hull when standing on Eddy near W/E and Terrasses, and from the Civic parking (picture doesn't do it justice). Considering, Odenak should look immense compared to everything else around it.

Pretty wild that the CBD will be mostly invisible behind the Trillium Trench skyline in a few years from this angle.
Agreed. Even Odenak coming out from behind the Gladstone Village OCH building, that will look massive when toped out, might be partially obstructed (could appear just between the Loretta north tower and the Somerset Gladstone Village towers).

For people who don't know Ottawa, it will be hard for them to point to the actual Downtown.

These are from Sentier des Voyageurs in Gatineau?

Can't wait to see that first angle with Odenak complete. Should look decently taller than anything else in the shot.

That second shot is getting better every year. Claridge Hintonburg steals the show. Props to Claridge for getting their act together. With Gladstone Villages' next 5 towers coming all at once (2x8, 20, 24 and 30), and the potential for the bread factory development's first tower, maybe the Claridge 50 floor tower, this angle will be something to behold.
