6 more floors ish.
And with the mechanical penthouse and crown, it will look like 8 to 10 more floors.
by the end of construction every conceivable camera angle will be covered 😂
Likely the most documented construction project in Ottawa's history, and the biggest impact on the skyline since Place de Ville.

Plans for approval from a few years back. Posting for future reference.

That's a significant portion left. Although these towers will be 36 and 31 floors, their heights will be more in line with 40 and 34 floor towers.

Considering how prominently Claridge Icon stands out from great distances (can see it driving down Ogilvie Road, for example), I hope these will have a similar impact from some areas (they are on lower ground than Icon, and will be fully obscured by the CBD from any point east).

These are quite visible from Baseline rd passing the experimental farm. Actually.. going down Baseline eastbound on the upper floor of the 88 is quite nice. It's crazy how many new and old projects are clearly visible. You can see the new builds on Scott st. Westgate is quite obvious. Dows lake towers are obvious. It interesting how much further beyond all that shows itself as well. Ascent is there. Fun to put my book down for a moment and play spot that tower.

I wish post #360 had a half constructed Renaissance in there.

PS. I love how just about every photo of this building recently has snow flying in the air. We haven't had a ton of accumulation but it sure does fly a lot. Of all years for my buddy to quit his removal contracts. I could be a Temu millionaire halfway through winter.

I noticed for the first time this morning that the West tower is quite visible coming in from the East end towards the CBD now. It looks equal to The Great Clump, which means it will have quite noticable prominence from that angle once topped out. This pleases me, as I wasn't even sure it would be visible looking from the Southeast, and that view is weak sauce right now. Marriot will also help.

You mean driving on the Queensway westbound past Metcalfe?

No, Westbound starting all the way back at St. Laurent.

Checks out on the map as well. The West tower is probably inching close to as tall as the East tower will be with it's crown, and it shows around as much as the East tower does below right now.
