If the bridge was already gone and this gets actually gets built then fine no time to waste. Lots of downgrades over the past five years are I think at the end of the day more right sizing for the Ottawa market compared to bait and switch monstrosities like Trinity on Rideau.
Colonnade is probably looking at everyone else's pipeline spinning up including their own and getting cold feet about over committing to one node.
At the end of the day specialized labour and heavy machinery is more of a bottleneck than some abstract culture of mediocrity which gets blamed for the height sweetspot of 26-35.
 
Ugh... this is so disappointing as always. The open feel of the podium transition on the South to the neighbourhood is going to be lost and I am setting myself up for disappointment for the final landscaping plan from what once was... This would have been an amazing development on the doorstep of Westboro station. I wonder if this will get started next year... I understand the 2 houses closest to Scott are being relocated.

I feel like contra to the peanut gallery here and on the other site Colonnade is taking the Park River projects as a serious possibility. Maybe they know about outside funding we don't.

This proposal had me super excited, only to rip it away. The bait and switch on this one has been the worst by far. I am really annoyed with this one. Like this makes me so angry lol.

I was still optimistic when they did their slight downgrade, but dropping the two tall towers for the 3 tower BS they have now... just get this one out of my sight lol. This sucks.
