That is one ENORMOUS excavation. Difficult to convey the scale in a picture.

That's what I was saying in my other post. Crazy to think this is just for the one tower.

So the area under the parkette on the corner is also getting dug out.

Excavation is almost complete. Holes for various concrete pads and footings are being dug out. The various geothermal cables are being encased with white tube pipe.

Imagine if this was the original proposal, this would have been MASSIVE.

It still is. So I am very much looking forward to this one, even with the reductions. This should hopefully, come out good. I hope we can see the second tower come up sometime soon after.

Two Tower Crane bases installed waiting for concrete pour. The East Crane base was being covered with orange tarp so pour may have already been completed. Could not tell from the site line.

Easterly Tower Crane went up today and is nicely adorned with blue lights. The westerly crane was started.

Saw that! I drove by today and am still blown away by the size of the excavation. Has to be seen in person, pictures do it no justice.

I am still flabbergasted by how massive this is and it's just the super reduced one tower. Imagine this was the original proposal lol (I still wish it was). This would've soared into the skyline and hardcore cemented itself in it.

Either way, it is exciting to see this one go up. I'm happy we finally get to see one part of it.

At the end of the day you cant really argue with shovels in the ground even if the project was diminished. Let's just see how the exterior finishing plays out and judge from there.
