Thank-you RocketFish!

EMD-BATIMO is proposing a new residential development featuring two towers of 12 and 14 storeys at 500 Av De La Famille-Cote in Orleans. Once completed, the project will offer 354 residential units, constructed in two phases: Phase 1: 216 units and Phase 2: 138 units.

379 underground and 21 surface parking spaces are available via a dedicated ramp from Bilberry Drive. The second access will be provided from Famille-Côté Avenue which would lead to a designated off-street pickup/drop-off area at the main entrance to the building.

A very decent proposal for this plot of underused land, though the precast concrete panel cladding I'm sure will look awful (Riverain vibes anyone?).

I'm pretty surprised the other parcels in this area have been so slow to develop, except for the one mid-rise retirement home next door which is almost done. As the east end LRT nears opening, I expect more and more proposals for the Place D'Orleans area. I think it will slowly morph into a "suburban downtown" as it gets intensified.

Love the transition model with that silly looking H building at 5 or 6 floors stabbed into the middle of it. Conceptually a great idea though. Build your way up out of the existing neighborhood.
