    Claridge Hintonburg | 1040 Somerset St. W. | 99m | 30s | Claridge | architectsAlliance | U/C

They are pouring 23, still a ways to go! Still no balcony glass.

    Oh wow...that's gorgeous!!!

    Odenak | 665 Albert St. | 105+120m | 31+36s | Dream+Multifaith | Perkins&Will+KPMB+Two Row | U/C

I think it's only a matter of time before Ottawa attracts serious Toronto based developers like Concord, Great Gulf, Pinnacle, Tridel, et al. We have definitely gotten the attention of some major Montreal developers lately. I bet the arena on Lebreton will be the catalyst.

    384 Arlington | 24s | 79m | Windmill | NEUF | Proposed

I've said this before, and I'll say it again now: It will be super weird for people driving through the city to see 'Lepine Charcwhite Village' in Kanata (especially after Claridge builds their two Charcwhite monsters at the Centrum), then cresting the hill and seeing 15-20 RLA Charcwhites on...

Up to 6 now. Around a month from now it will be making it's first skyline impressions.

Renewal of Les Terrasses de la Chaudière complex [Hull] | Public Services and Procurement Canada | BBB+Adamson | U/C

Well here's a nice little flourish! There is a recessed band half way up the lower tower. I have been a little worried about these massive walls of uninterrupted glass, but it looks like there is going to be a lot of little surprises. Edit: The banding is actually noticeable in the render now...

    Ascent @ LeBreton Flats | 86m+102m | 25s+30s | Claridge | EVOQ

I'm not a huge fan of the West facade, but I definitely find the simplicity in form and materials more attractive than the charcwhites with weird shapes and patterns.

    2475 Regina St | 7/16/28f | 24/50/88m | Windmill | Diamond Schmitt Architects | Approved

This would be such a crazy addition to the area if it doesn't experience Ottawafication. I'm pretty sure the big Brigil towers will see the light of day as well. This area is kind of the Western anchor of what I call 'The River Skyline'.

Renewal of Les Terrasses de la Chaudière complex [Hull] | Public Services and Procurement Canada | BBB+Adamson | U/C

It's really creeping up! I think the glazing is actually a different shade on this tower side compared to the mid rise. I have seen them in the same light, and it seems darker on the tower. I'm really interested to see if the flourishes from the render make it to the final product on the taller...

    Alexandra Bridge Replacement

Oof...Just saw this meme. Are we going to regret our 'fish bones' bridge?

    O-Train East-West Line 1 & Line 3

Having Metrolinx' attention on Ottawa might lead to Regional Rail in the area....finally.

So what do we all think about this? Seems like a massive win to me....

    Ottawa from Above

My drone controller was taken by the Pacific in Waikiki Beach last week along with my bluetooth speaker and my power bank. Every year the ocean takes more of my gear in Hawaii 🤣 😭 It might be a while before we see any new drone shots, now that u/Zzipitchka and I are both grounded.

    Andaz Ottawa Byward Market | 56.08m/59.37 | 16s/18s | Claridge Homes | NEUF

Why is it only Claridge that has projects in this city where we don't know exactly what's going on and what the end result will be?

    Office to Residential Conversions

I could easily be mistaken on what building he was describing, he was telling me this over drinks at the cottage a few years ago.

    Renaissance Marriot / OROS Apartments | 395 Slater St. | 118m | 36s | Rimap | IBI+GeigerHuot | U/C

The surface lot at Queen and Sparks is another chance at it. That lot must be eyed for development at this point.

    The Talisman | 1354-1376 Carling Ave. | 72m | 22s | Holloway Lodging | Geiger Huot

All glass! Beautiful. This bodes well for the new high rises, a good sign for sure.

Wow, very little progress lately. This one probably won't achieve second tallest in Ottawa, I think Odenak will beat it.
