This is actually a self climbing Luffing Crane. The climbing frame will be added at the first crane raise stage. It is the first for Ottawa for this model of Luffer. Typically Luffing cranes are within the building footprint and have a raising system the within the crane tower itself.

That glass wall area terrace is an amenity space for residents and hotel guests. That 6th floor area with the glass wall is the pool & gym.

This project coming to fruition has been a major challenge but it is so nice to see it succeed. It's a beautiful building. This almost didn't happen due to the poor mis-management of a certain company that oversaw his Richmond Road Project. Kudos to Brigil for helping John out.

Good news is that OCH will be announcing further projects very soon which will be more than welcomed!

It may seem slow to the general people that are unfamiliar with building practices but mid-level rock anchor drilling prevented blasting and excavation from progressing for the past three weeks and also taking into to consideration of the small area to work in. This excavation is 6 weeks away...

For sure, Dream will have their Cranes up earlier than Renaissance. Target for the crane here is mid December. Schedule wise as it is now, Dream will be topped off before the Renaissance.
