    1299 Richmond Rd | 99+107m / 28+32s | Brigil | BDP Quadrangle

With this and Dream, I'm expecting more colour to dot the skyline in the next few years. Maybe this will replace the Charwart "Ottawa special"?
  2. SweazyCavalry

Live Nation Concert Venue | 50 Rideau St.

Maybe they can take a cue from L'Impérial Bell

    Downtown Ottawa Revitalization Task Force

It's a good step. Acknowledging that having local residents gives resiliency to the downtown is a nice first step. Now let's see how much actually gets built in the next 4 years. It's a good step

    Odenak | 665 Albert St. | 105+120m | 31+36s | Dream+Multifaith | Perkins&Will+KPMB+Two Row | U/C

Like example: A-"that one building that's almost 30 stories Downtown" B-"Which one?" A-"South of the Parliament" B-"WTF, they're all the same height!"

    Ryse | 1950 Scott | 72m | 22s | Colonnade Bridgeport | Hobin

It's like Ottawa is following Vancouver's and Toronto's example of highrises following the alignment of rail transit. I'm just waiting for 40+ tower development at South Keyes shopping centre
  7. SweazyCavalry

    The Revalie | 770 Brookfield | 7/18/27m | 2/6/9s | Campus Developments | Hobin

  8. SweazyCavalry

    The Revalie | 770 Brookfield | 7/18/27m | 2/6/9s | Campus Developments | Hobin

Speak about yourself there. Let me tell you I did not have enough to spend on almost anything in school.
  9. SweazyCavalry

    Maison Riverain | 2 Montreal Rd. | 76/94/106m | 22/28/32s | Main+Main+Equiton | RLA

Looks much nicer with the morning sun or ... not wet or any non-sunny day
  10. SweazyCavalry

    Odayanhaway | 30 Cleary Avenue | ?m | 6s+16s | First Unitarian Church/Ontario Aboriginal Housing Services/Theia | Figurr | Proposed

If you can rely on one thing, it's opposition to indigenous housing in urban settings.

    Ascent @ LeBreton Flats | 86m+102m | 25s+30s | Claridge | EVOQ

When Can Ottawa get a project that looks like this? (but maybe without charcoal brick this time)
  12. SweazyCavalry

    AC Marriott / Mrkt Lofts | 201 Rideau St. | ?m | 24s | Rimap | RLA | U/C

Those Concrete Panels look so bad in the rain. It's also what brings down Riverain on Montreal.
  13. SweazyCavalry

    Stittsville | 6310 Hazeldean Rd | 29+77m | 9+25s | Devmont | Figurr

I mean, we built the damn line, so we better have developments that maximizes our tax revenues as a consequence. If we don't want Ottawa to eventually go down a fiscal cliff, it's our only option.
  14. SweazyCavalry

    1983 (1989) Carling Ave | 12m | 3f | McKellar Suites | Figurr

With the lot size, I feel the current plan is fine. But agreed. I believe it should be zoned for 28 stories so we can extend the tabletop west.
  15. SweazyCavalry

    Stittsville | The Station | ?m | 2+4s | Inverness | Vandenberg & Wildeboer

I wish Orléans would get developments like this.
  16. SweazyCavalry

    406-408 Bank St | 21m | 6s | Ottawa Carleton Construction | Susan D. Smith

Could we include this build into a bank street subway stationbox? 🤣
  17. SweazyCavalry

    Stittsville | 6310 Hazeldean Rd | 29+77m | 9+25s | Devmont | Figurr

Why is Ottawa so revolted by height anywhere? 28 floors max in Downtown, 4 floors max in the suburbs. Residents and council have to understand we're an actual city, not Cornwall ++ nor Kingston-lite
  18. SweazyCavalry

    Maison Riverain | 2 Montreal Rd. | 76/94/106m | 22/28/32s | Main+Main+Equiton | RLA

From what I can see, the base seems to be good to go for a second tower start soon.
  19. SweazyCavalry

    Maison Riverain | 2 Montreal Rd. | 76/94/106m | 22/28/32s | Main+Main+Equiton | RLA

Without the sun, it makes it look as drab as the office towers next door. I guess it’s still density. Hopefully the blocks around it that will develop in the next decade can at least be higher quality and have more colour than this one. It’s not bad per se, but certainly not good nor great.
