Looking good Ottawa! Took these a couple months ago.

Ottawa's been pretty busy with development lately. Minto, Claridge and Richcraft have launched multiple condo projects within the Greenbelt, and ofcourse the lightrail construction is moving along. Some shots from Portage Bridge:

It was a shame that they wasted all that money, prepared the infrastructure, and got sued by Siemens.

Ottawa definitely needs something more than the Transitway and the O-Train. Its a shame that LRT was cancelled towards Barrhaven. Sprawl gonna continue south towards Manotick, especially with Minto's Mahogany community.

Ah I see! I know the last time I visited, the Queensway was backed up and people were telling me that it was cause of construction on the transitway. The tunnel is suppose to extend from downtown to St. Laurent though right?

Looks like they cut a big chunk of that parking lot at U Ottawa (glad I don't park there anymore lol). Anybody have any construction shots of the project by the St. Laurent area?

There are lots of restaurants (obviously) in Ottawa's chinatown but I recommend trying Ben Bens on Somerset. Its a small family-owned restaurant across the street from the big and often crowded Yantze restaurant. I used to go to Ben Bens with a colleague all the time during my lunch breaks. They...
