Project Description:
The purpose of the application is to permit the construction of a 28-storey high-rise apartment with a
six-storey podium adjacent to the Alexander Fleck House. The applicant proposes 326 residential
dwelling units ranging from studio to two-bedroom plus den units, and a combination of indoor and
outdoor shared amenity areas in addition to private balconies. A total of 94 vehicular parking spaces
are proposed, 31 of which are for visitors, in addition to 302 bicycle parking spaces within a three-
level underground parking garage accessed from Laurier Avenue West. The existing two- and three-
storey low-rise apartment buildings located on 601 Laurier Avenue West are proposed to be
demolished to accommodate the proposed development, and the heritage building at 593 Laurier
Avenue West will be retained with the modern additions being removed
