What is the deal with George Saade and the 'Saade Group'?
I was surprised to see that ugly sign pop up again recently in Metcalfe of all places. Has this 'developer' every actually started a new build?
Remember when they were 'planning' the 'Saade International' hotel at Walkley & Russell 15 years ago? If you look at Google Street View history that piece of land has been offered up by different brokerages every couple of years since that proposal died. What gives?
I'm pretty sure they still own that scummy strip club/weekly rate murder-motel on Bank St. S.
They also have the glorious Saade Plaza on Bank St. S.
...and the more prestigious 'Saade International Plaza' on Lamira St.
Can't forget this gem of a property at 1665 Bank St.
There is a Google listing for the company stating 'Permanently Closed' and a Yellow Pages listing with a different address
There is also this little snippet I found on Reddit:
This sign seems to be attached at the hip with poorly maintained sketchy properties and delusions of grandeur. I would love to hear more anecdotes about this Ottawa mystery!
