Description:
26 storeys – 268 units – 4 underground parking levels

The proposal entails a 26-storey mixed-use building, standing at a height of 88 meters, with a four-storey podium. The overall project comprises 268 residential units, featuring a mix of one and two-bedroom configurations, and includes commercial/retail space at ground level along Montreal Road. To accommodate bicycles, the project offers more than 240 parking spaces within the garage and at-grade. The proposed site design emphasizes the preservation of mature trees at the property’s rear, and a 200 square meter Privately Owned Public Space (POPS) is designated in the north-west corner along Blair Road and the north property line. The development also includes a total of 307 underground and enclosed at-grade parking spaces.

Certainly won't be a particularly nice tower however, I hope that added residents here could push to improve transit and cycling connections to Blair Station. This should also greatly improve an otherwise dreadful corner with some greenery and street level retail.

Happy Friday :)

This is what I think of when I see all these grey RLA buildings. And also piss my pants laughing.

Welcome to the forum!

I agree with your sentiment (obviously, being me). Another Nouveau Commie Block polluting the skyline.
Makes you wonder if these developer don't travel or they just want to build cheap.
There is so many great looking buildings that would catch your eye, and make people want to visit.
Shameful what they approve to build in this city :(

RLA is actually capable of decent design. Take a look at The Dale and Soho Italia. I blame the developers more than anything. They seem to love grabbing generic discount designs the 'RLA Black & White Sketchup Randomizer'.

As much as we rag on RLA for their craptacular designs, the blame does ultimately lie with the developers. It's they who look to cheapen out with the designs to maximize their profits. Why spend extra on fancy architecture when a charcwhite box will do? RLA is really just being practical for catering to their clients wishes instead of pushing the envelope and potentially driving away business. As far as I know, the City's planning department doesn't have much say in enforcing certain design choices, and rejecting proposals purely on aesthetics in the middle of a housing crisis would be politically unpopular. It's mostly just us skyscraper nerds who care about these things anyway lol.

Very true, but it is shocking what they are building in prime "lookout" like location and just couple meters away from all those spectacular houses on Davidson Dr. and all those terrasses in Rothwell Heights.
