This is SO much better than 1960 Scott...it makes me wonder if there is some internal regret/disappointment at Colonnade Bridgeport and they are making amends 🤣
It also makes me wonder if Barry Hobin went full tilt on this one to showcase superiority over the tragic RLA design of 1960 Scott...
Huge news! Application is up on Devapps! The docs are not available yet, but we are going to have the full package imminently!

Wow, I really love how the podium has evolved!!
I really believe that this project and Releve/Marriot Renaissance will be the catalyst for proper high rise development in this city, the same way One Wall was for Vancouver.
Kingsett is facing difficulties, and the larger project next door is from Ferguslea, a very small company that I have doubts can build what they are proposing in the current economic climate. We might not see any ground breaking here for a long while unfortunately.
Now we just need a solid proposal for the last remaining lot on 'Parkdale Row', 139 Parkdale, after that silly little 9 story building was cancelled. 40 stories would be great.
I like the vertical banding. If an otherwise unremarkable slab needs shapes in the brick to break up the massing, I find this more tasteful than random crosses and rectangles.
Wow, they are planning to tear down a major building (and my favourite bowling alley) to build this. Gatineau really loves expropriating.
The new design reminds me so much of the new library at Agora in the Plateau.
Things are a little tight at Kingsett right now, I'm a little worried about this project's prospects:
