The south facade, the one we'll see from Ottawa, is ugly and uninspiring. Who knows how long it will take before the buildings on Prom. du Portage get redeveloped, if ever

Slab tower design will mess with sunlight in the area, but I actually quite like the massing and street level articulation here.

And losing the only theatre left in le Vieux. Could have done a Bytown or Mayfair type space, or even a live performance hall instead of another bland block. They'd still have plenty of surface parking to work with.

You have the wrong orientation, the tower portion is along Leduc, so the South face is quite slim.

Wow, you mean the city can actually make recommendations that IMPROVE the designs? Ottawa should take notes...

Honestly would have preferred giving the theatre a new life and only developing the surface parking, but overall this is a decent proposal.
