    Maison Riverain | 2 Montreal Rd. | 76/94/106m | 22/28/32s | Main+Main+Equiton | RLA

If anything the towers are going to be 'inoffensive' simply because they look straight out of the 70s. The podium is just horrendous though.

I like what Trinity is building at Island Park, but I think that's their only ongoing project in Ottawa?

    General Real Estate Discussion

Don't forget their new tower in the Byward Market! That's a big project under construction. I am guessing they go for East Flats 2, Clyde/Merivale next. I would love to see that 50s tower approved.

Probably a 24-27s tower from RLA, that would be my guess. I doubt those taller towers are part of the plan anymore, they don't seem to be investing much into Westgate. It's surprising considering 78 floors of rentals just went up across the street.

If this goes up along with the 16 story tower, and we/3 is almost up, where does Gatineau rank on it's own in Canadian skylines? Somewhere between Kelowna and KW? Maybe even higher than KW, closer to London?

I just wish the buildings were as forgettable. I'm excited for the Claridge towers to hide them from view from the Queensway.

    780 Baseline Rd | 78/78/102m | 24/24/32s | Theberge | RLA

The base of this one is 21m higher than the base of Icon, it should have a relative prominence of 99m compared to the Little Italy cluster across the farm.

Hate that there is even a 24/30s option, but wow that podium looks great either way! Definitely a throwback to Les Terrasses and goes very well with City Hall.

Not sure, but that is very interesting! They could definitely build that 24s tower without affecting the current strip mall.

    Magnolia Square | 1705 Carling Ave | 33+73m | 9+22s | Claridge | RLA

What I don't get about the Clemow sign is that it's just the name of the building, not a brand. SOHO is a brand on 5 buildings. Claridge is a developer. Luxo will be a brand on a four building complex.

I've been saying for years that Morguard gave up on this property. It's good to see tenants taking action.

Yeah it's a hot steaming pile of garbage. This is definitely the worst high profile project in the city in my opinion.

I just wish it was taller. Give me this design in 40-50s. Still hoping it gets a taller twin on the Claridge lot across the street.

I honestly wasn't looking forward to a potential 45 story Claridge building there until I saw the quality of this project and Hintonburg. Now I'm ready for Claridge to bring the heat!

An elevator and stairs here will be epic. The experience of walking/rolling between here and the bottom of the locks would be so much easier and more accessible.

Absolutely. I'm just worried about the fate of the Byward Market. It's still the historical core of the city, but it might be even more relegated to being a tourist trap once the Lebreton options become available to locals. Even the limited options at Lansdowne have drawn a lot of locals who...
