Looks like the new owners will invest in modernizing the old library and they are looking for a tenant, any type of commercial or institutional tenant. So the building should be sticking around for a while still.

Maybe the portrait gallery could be back on the menu, that could work here.
That would be a really good spot. Doubt the Feds revive that idea though.
Fleury's Street Art Museum for HBC would work better here with plenty of blank concrete walls inside and out that could use a mural.

Took this one Saturday. Terrible resolution, but still shows the prominence of the library driving into Ottawa over the Portage Bridge.
