'The Emmy', the first project by Place Dorée in Ottawa, is wrapping up. I wonder if their attention will be turning to this one now.

Kind of odd that I can find no website or web presence from this developer aside from some Linkedin profiles.

I hope they build a better connection to the path that follows the O-Train. I get it that the bridge does the job but the connection to the path on the North side of the highway is god-awful. These two routes in pink are what I hope gets built with this project (green is what already exists as pedestrian paths to Lees Station).

This area is quite a mess. If Ford cared so much about housing, he would prioritize simplifying highway exchanges to add developable land, amongst many other things he hasn't done.

Agreed. I had started to work on a sketch for this area a while ago. If assume another interprovincial crossing for trucks does get built, Nicholas and the associated on and off ramps could be removed and there would be soo much land here for development.

I’d love to see your sketch. People often remark how large and spacious Springhurst Park is, and I always point out that the EB Nicholas interchange on its own is even bigger. It’s an absurd amount of urban space that’s relegated for cars to turn corners at higher speed.
