Looks good, I like the glass and clean design and the curves around the entrance/podium. Let's get shovels in the ground!

I could bet you CLV is sitting on 900 albert until the arena is U/C and then sell it to a big time developper.
Oh 100%. There isn't much value in developing now as it depends on the Toronto market being so hot that investors decide to come to Ottawa instead.

CVL applying for more height. No new renderings though. From Leiper's Newsletter:

Extra height being sought at CLV Gladstone/Loretta site
CLV is seeking approval for some more height on the towers that were previously approved at - I believe - 30, 33 and 35 storeys. We've received the following from the City: "Please be advised that City staff have received Official Plan Amendment (OPA) and Zoning By-law Amendment (ZBLA) applications for 951 Gladstone Avenue and 145 Loretta Avenue to permit three (3) high-rise buildings of 34, 38 and 40 storeys, consisting of office and retail, and approximately 496 residential parking spaces, 30 visitor parking spaces and 762 bicycle parking spaces. These proposed OPA and ZBLA applications have been submitted to amend both the West Downtown Core Secondary Plan and the current zoning to permit an increase in building heights on the subject property, from 30, 33 and 35 storeys to 34, 38 and 40 storeys. The site layout remains mostly the same from the previous rezoning approval."

The new application documents aren't up yet on Dev Apps here, but keep checking back - they should be up within a few days.

People in this city need to get over the fear of tall buildings. For those asking what i am talking about many on Ottawa/R a few weeks ago were calling for only short buildings no more then 9 floors.
