If I had my way, I'd probably limit the height in a few key areas more than the new OP and zoning, but other spots can absolutely handle 30, 40, 50+ floors.

In some areas sure city wide would make no sense.Take Lebreton we can't limit it to just small buildings for the Sens new district.
Yeah, LeBreton is a blank slate. I like what the NCC drafted, but wouldn't give developers a limit on height for the Albert Street side. Based on Odenak, doesn't seem the NCC has a hard limit (master plan showed 30 floor max, we're getting 31 and 36). Same with Gladstone Village, or super wide stroads like Carling. Go nuts.

Agreed. It would go against everything they have ever said about density within a few hundred meters of an O-Train station.
Here's what the extra height would look like.
It's quite a handsome design. It's wonderful to see the variety of styles going up in our future tallest node.
Also pretty neat that the tallest tower is listed at 145m, compared to Icon which was listed at 143m (but came out at 150m unofficially).

Wasn't construction on this supposed to start in June ?
It seems it was delayed because they are planning to go bigger. Much bigger.
This image is wild to me...the shortest tower is the same height as Luxo, and Luxo looks pretty damned tall by Ottawa standards.
It's neat how the new elevations show the extra floors.

Whats everyone guess when construction could start?
If I were to guess, some time in the next six months. It's very apparent this is going to occupy CLV for the next few years. I see zero chance they start on 900 Albert while this site is being developed, unfortunately.
I'm still not convince CVL has the capacity to do anything of this scale. If they can, then I'd expect 900 Albert to start after the Sens finish their build.
