Most definitely. I hated this project for awhile - not glad to see I was right in my initial assessment - but the only thing this does is bring more density. This building ugly af.

After seeing the result of Tower #1, I can't get too excited for this next one. I suppose the silver lining of course is much needed housing and density to Vanier, but man what an eyesore this cluster will be.
Wait until a rainy day, it looks like those crumbling commie blocks in Poland already
From this angle it doesn't look that bad, the balcony glass does make it look better. The north face of the building is by far the ugliest side, you really see how ugly it is driving south on the parkway.Agreed
Walked by it this weekend the podium is so bad. It literally looks unfinished.I can live with the tower. It's the podium that really bothers me to the point where I want to scream. They really should have done red brick. Even red brick looking pre-cast could have been acceptable.
Yeah it's a hot steaming pile of garbage. This is definitely the worst high profile project in the city in my opinion.Drove over the Cummings Bridge into Vanier a couple times over the last few days; absolute garbage. I don't mind the tower as much, but the podium is unbearably terrible. The depressing grey cladding, the cheapest windows possible. Looks like a crappy Gatineau build from the 1990s or 2000s.
Such a prominent corner demands red brick, or even charcoal brick. Even if it was fake pre-cast brick. I miss the old Eastview Plaza. At least they tried to create something interesting.
