Where is the SENS/Major Events Centre supposed to be; block 2? Which blocks or parcels are included in the Sens deal right now?

Yup, the arena will be Block 2, so four towers attached to it, which matches the Sens early arena rendering from a few years ago. We still don't know what second block they'll be getting, but my money's on Block 1, the Bayview triangle. Only way they can get a direct link to an O-Train Station and it's the block with the most natural connection to the arena parcel.

I heard from someone who is very involved in the process that the Sens will be getting all the land between Scott and the LRT, from Bayview to Booth.
That would be much more than 10 acres, but that's exactly what I was hoping for before the September announcement.

Thought I'd post a few maps from a few years ago.

The height map. Note the Odenak site was planned for two max 30 floor towers, but we're getting 36 and 31, so the NCC has some flexibility.

Phasing map. At open NCC, they told us that A11-A12 could be next and include a French language high school. They also want to move up the Aqueduct district to support the Sens.

Retail plan.

Parking strategy. For those worried about parking for the Sens, I suspect they could easily build a thousand spaces for the arena, with another thousand for residential/retail based on Lansdown's parking situation (so two levels at LeBreton instead of one at Lansdowne). The War Museum and Library would be wise to open up their parking for events to boost revenue.

LeBreton should be getting a high school (possibly along old Slater Street). Hoping Tom Brown is replaced with a proper multi-sport Sensplex. It has the central library. The War Museum. Seems all these things are destined to be towards the ends of LeBreton. I'd hope to see something at the Flats District.

What other public amenities does the area need to be a complete neighbourhood?

One thing i would like is a YMCA.

Yeah, YMCA was part of the DCDLS bid who lost against the Sens the first time around. They were looking to sell their building on Argyle recently but decided against it last March. They said they'd stick around for at least 5 more years, so LeBreton timing could work.

Alternatively, the Sens RVL group were going to include the Abilities Centre like the one in Whitby.

Fun fact, where the YMCA stands today is the location of the Sens' arena in the 1920s. That arena was replaced with the Civic Centre at Lansdowne, where the modern Sens played their first few seasons.
