Fantastic news! The NCC is looking for development on the Quebec lot by the Macdonald-Cartier bridge! That's easily one of the best lots in the region for a signature highrise project.

Would be a great spot for a twin tower (varied heights though) high-rise project, but it seems extremely difficult to build anything above 10 floors in Gatineau. So many recent projects should have been a 4 to 6 floor podium with a point tower. Instead we got massive blockbusters.

Yeah - I'll have to keep playing but thought it'd be fun to try and design a skyscraper! Aimed for a bit of a hint of the fleur-du-lis and a hint of parliament hill!

I then asked it what it would look like if Robert Lahey value-engineered it (after adding a rooftop patio/restaurant and balconies). It didn't know exactly but ended up spitting out this.

It's the whole convent, you can see the size (2.51 hectares) matches the one on the NCC webpage for the convent.

Also the empty land is North and South, not East

The area is actually zoned for 3... it's ridiculous. They'll have to apply for a change no matter what (or not, it's not like the NCC has to follow zoning regulations).
