Ottawa's Skyline

From LeDroit yesterday.

That is an excellent shot. Claridge Hintonburg takes a position of prominence and Parkdale Collective provides some modernity.

Fingers crossed for an arena, luxury hotel and a few more 40+ towers within 5 years.

There's still so many hotel brands not present in the Ottawa Market yet, of course a few of them are probably too "high end" and so I wouldn't necessary expect to see a Ritz Carlton pop-up anytime soon. Marriott has been doubling down on the Ottawa Market with the AC Marriott (Rideau), soon to be Moxy (Market) and soon to be Renaissance (CBD). On the other hand, the other 2 major hotel brands (Hilton and Hyatt) have been pretty quiet...

Ritz Carlton
St Regis
W Hotel
JW Marriott
Design Hotel
Autograph Collection
Aloft
Radisson
Sofitel
Canopy by Hilton
Hyatt / Centric
Waldorf Astoria
Conrad
Curio
Tru by Hilton
Intercontinental
St Regis
Four Seasons

Hyatt just has the Andaz and Hilton has the twins together at the old Teron Inn of the Provinces/Delta complex, and the casino in Hull. That's not a whole lot for a city our size.

The hotel attached the the arena will certainly be a 5 star to accommodate NHL teams and other big acts. I'm also not expecting a Ritz-Carlton or Waldorf Astoria, but maybe a JW Marriott, Four Seasons (though they seem less active lately, maybe I'm wrong), at best St Regis.

Skyline from the past, from Kitchissipi.com, looking down Scott with only Parliament, the Queen Juliana Apartments and PdV I visible in the skyline. How things have changed.
