I think Cyrville/St Laurent stations have the best chance of becoming Ottawa's version of Burnaby. Great connections to downtown, and a whole lot of empty parking lots. Losing The Bay will surely put St. Laurent Shopping Centre on life support as well, possibly leading to a complete redevelopment of the land.

I agree. That mall is on it's last legs, and with transit it's so easy for anyone in the area to get to Rideau. Redevelop the land into a small community.

They really need to look at something innovative at St. Laurent. They're the last major mall in the NCR to do any proper renovation trying to get good new tenants or modifying things well. I love that these are two towers at 104m and I'm loving it. Build it yesterday!

St. Laurent is a fairly busy mall, and I wouldn't exactly say that The Bay is packed with people whenever I'm there.
St. Laurent has been a ghost town outside of the food court for a decade. I visit at least twice a week because I'm a big mall walker, I like to get a little exercise between work appointments on the road. The mall is half full of low rent local stores lately. As for the Bay, they were still paying the rent, so I'm not sure what your point is there.

Hoping for some good commercial space in these (and not just amenities in those spaces). A restaurant and a dépanneur please. Maybe Shoppers.

That makes sense. It really is just a giant convenience store since Galen bought it, isn't it?
Yeah. High prices (yet cheapest place to buy Coca-Cola by far), but they have a bit of everything. All the basics and then some.
