The third floor is going up. I'm surprised how short the lobby level is. I would have liked to see something more grand for a Marriot Renaissance.

I would assume its shorter since there is little retail in this building? Actually I can't even recall if there is any retail going in this one.

No retail in this building. Hotel has a full service restaurant & bar.
Good to hear! Will the lobby have an area open to a mezzanine level, like in most other hotels?

No, there are no open areas in this one. They wanted to maximize the second level board/meeting rooms for this location. This Renaissance will actually be the first in their new design for this brand. High end finishes, lots of millwork and fancy ceilings in the lobby and restaurant areas. This will be the prototype for the new renaissance brand.

I think this will be one of those stay within the city type of hotels once it finally does come up. I would really enjoy doing a night here. This project is another I am really excited to see finalized, we're finally getting a new CBD record!
