NCC - General Updates

I've never noticed that utility box looking thing in Clarendon Court before this rendering. And yes, it's there in real life.

I'm not seeing any worthwhile addition. I've walked it dozens of times and never found it was problematic from an accessibility point of view. Not sure why they are renovating the courtyards.

I think the accessibility is only part of the project.

Specifically, this project includes:
  • Replacing pavers, which will address existing trip hazards and protect the courtyards’ character-defining heritage features
  • Improving universal access within the courtyards
  • Replacing and improving lighting
  • Updating stormwater management systems to address water ponding
  • Replacing interpretive panels, furnishings and plantings
This seems sensible to me, storm water management and better lighting help it function more consistently as a year round public space and help with placemaking.

There are a couple steps by the arches, I assume thats what they'll be smoothing out
