I've noticed it has been very quiet on the eastern extension of Line 1 over the last few weeks. I've barely seen any construction crews or work being done since maybe late-May. There still hasn't been any further train testing done that I can see either. I hope we are still on track (pun intended) for opening the extension by end of year.

There was a train out late last week, and possibly Sunday morning before Line 1 opened late. This week I have seen an excavator going back and forth a bit.

I'd wager that if there are any other delays to the end of year opening, it will be due to driver shortages (and by extension lack of testing), not the line's competition.
