The first glass is up on the big tower! We really are getting the vertical banding from the renders. It's a nice bronze tone, which I think will contrast very nicely with all the glass.
This site is at around 92m elevation, around 20m higher than most of downtown, 40m higher than the flats. These would be very prominent on the cityscape.
Interesting they went with the Alibabalconies in the courtyard, but the over-slab frosted on the exterior facade. It's a really fantastic project overall.
Even here in Gatineau the charcwhites are generally vastly superior in execution. RLA is really the Dollarama Charchwhite firm. Neuf also seems to sleep through their Ottawa designs compared to their Québec designs.
This design would look great in the 40-60s range. Claridge has an old proposal for the lot across the street.. Wouldn't it be something if they twinned this design with a taller tower with the wedge facing the other way?
TCU is so weird with their midrises. This one has a concrete first floor and wood on 2-6, the one on Cyrville is completely steel framed, and the one on Cummings is completely concrete.
