I just did a tour of the new grocery store. The regular pricing is absolutely better than Metro/IGA. I didn't see a bunch of loss leaders like I do in the big chains. Overall, I'm 100% happy with the store, the selection, and the pricing at this time. It's a perfect little urban grocery.

This one is already at grade. I can't believe how many workers are on site and how fast this one is rising.

After this, the Andaz addition is the only active project left to rise in the entire Byward Market/Lowertown. I can't remember a bigger lull in that neighbourhood than the upcoming one, anytime in the past 20 years.

The massing was so much better before they lowered the tower and raised the midrise to a highrise. This was originally proposed as a moderately tall highrise and a midrise, now they have a stub tower and a giant wall.

Amazing. Shallow garages = quick to grade. By next summer, this area will be completely transformed. 9 more days until the arena deadline...that could hit the nitro on development around here.

No timeframe on the actual construction though, so it could still be two years. This week blasting began at 1047 Richmond Road for the construction of the two towers. I am disappointed that no one from the development reached out to let me know this would be starting in order to provide notice...
